Wednesday, September 6th marked a significant milestone as our first joint task force meeting was held in Beaumont with community members and professionals from the Beaumont-Port Arthur region. During these two task force meetings, we had the opportunity to discuss with task force members what makes them proud to live in this region, concerns about environmental hazards, and the solutions we can work towards.
This participatory planning process was performed to support community-led development of equitable strategies to address climate-related acute and chronic events, in particular focusing on floods and air pollution.
